Have you been diagnosed with unexplained infertility?
Also known as psychogenic infertility, unexplained infertility is a condition that many individuals struggling to conceive (as many as one in five) have been diagnosed with. It is a controversial and challenging diagnosis, and one where you may feel that you don’t have a proper answer or solution.

It is a diagnosis that should only be given once it’s been established there is no reproductive or physical issue in either partner, including:
-
Poor sperm/egg quality
-
Mild/severe endometriosis
-
Issues with the uterus
-
Poor semen quality

We understand that many people feel that it is easier to cope and manage when a definite reason for your inability to conceive is explained. The reality is that some women/couples who have no obvious reproductive problems remain unable to achieve pregnancy.
No biological/reproductive issues but the problem persists?
Unexplained infertility can be caused by a wide variety of pre-existing conditions, including psychological factors. The mind can have such power over the body, and affect a range of functions, including reproductive health. So whilst there may be no physical or reproductive-based conditions or issues, you may still experience issues conceiving.
The Apex Practice specialises in offering support for unexplained infertility through The Apex Conscious Conception Programme which explores the psychological factors that could be affecting your successes of conceiving. We have structured a caring and gentle approach, to facilitate the very best opportunity in becoming parents.

Our programme can help you to heal and to make peace with your fertility. It can also help you to heal your life even when fertility is not the main issue. the programme aims to provide healing for all of the chaos, turmoil and grief that may have become a part of your journey towards parenting.
Our mind-body approach
Our experienced and qualified clinical team work with you to uncover the root causes and provide support and guidance designed to help maximise your chances of conception. Our therapy programme is designed to complement and enhance any treatments you are currently undergoing including IVF (in vitro fertilisation).
We offer therapy sessions from our centre in Harley Street, London, and via Zoom meeting, depending on your preferences.

Depending on your history and the complexities of your presenting circumstances, we find that it can take up to four assessment sessions for us to begin to truly understand you and help you overcome your previous conception difficulties.
The key statistics:
-
Approximately one in five couples will experience ‘unexplained infertility.’
-
Studies have shown that even in this group, over a period of seven years 36% will eventually conceive
-
Over the same period, in a similar group who cannot conceive again after having one or more children, 79% will eventually conceive
-
More than 8 out of 10 couples where the woman is under 40 will conceive naturally within a year if they have regular unprotected sex every two or three days.
-
For couples who have been trying to conceive for more than three years without success, the likelihood of getting pregnant naturally within the next year is one in four or less.
The Apex Conscious Conception Programme
Step 1.
To explore your conscious and unconscious childhood memories and experiences.
Step 2.
To work through long forgotten painful memories with emotional release.
Step 3.
To listen to what your body is saying.
Step 4.
To become aware of what you are truly feeling, not what you may have learned as a child.
If you are willing to listen to your body’s symptoms and think of them as messages and wake up calls about your life, you can begin to make the necessary changes to live in a healthier way – emotionally and physically. As you start to view the difficulties you have had in conceiving as a reflection of learned childhood experiences and responses, and not as personal inadequacy, you will open yourself up to the possibility of conception. In this way you can begin to approach the journey of having a baby as one of commitment to your own growth and development.
